Just bought a rear tailgate ladder off someone selling his Japanese VX '92. I wanted his roof rack but it came with one of those standard roof ladders apparently from the factory option. It hooks to the top of the flip-up tailgate with this chrome plated steel hook that wraps around it nicely. But I'm also kinda weary of the load capacity.
Short of finding a morbidly obese person to climb my trucc and then replacing the tailgate, I figure I'd ask here. What would be the maximum weight the lip of the cargo door can handle? I suppose 100kg climbing up and down the ladder should be more than fine?
I should also add that climbing up onto the roof is really, really fun thing to do that can be accomplished in literally 2 seconds. It's more of a vertical run, really.
