Has anyone done a GM Vortec with the GM autotrans in a pig? I am considering, but am curious about a few things. Namely:

Can you use the Toyota radiator?
How far do you have to move the radiator?
Motor mount position?
Room for PS?

You talkin 5.3L ? Man i would like to do that... Dont think you would approach it much different than a 350 swap. Not a big difference in size.

Vortec

TLC has done quite a few GM Vortec's in the 55 and in the ICON. I decided to use the Ram Jet with H55. The Ram Jet has a palm size computer mounted on the top of the motor, connect three wires and start, simple and clean!!

I think that the Vortec/4L60e is a good combination if you are going with a 5.3L or a 5.7L. If you are considering the 6.0L then I would think about the 4L80e. All match up well with the Toyota split transfer case. If you went that way you'd need an Advance Adapters adapter.

There is a Vortex Cruisers forum on Yahoo that has a lot of folks that have paired Vortec engines with their Cruisers.
