I finally was able to install the new fender wall I.D. plate, that I purchased from you, in my 1973 FJ40 .

It's positioned a little higher than original, since the original was somewhat hidden behind the battery tray.

Due to my aversion to drilling holes in painted metal, I cut the heads off the stainless steel sheet metal screws and super-glued them to the plate. I then used the 3M VHB tape to attach the plate to the fender wall.

Looks great! Thanks again for a quality product!

Do you know for the 73 MY, what was the correct way of attaching this inner fender plate? Rivets, machine screws/nuts, taping screws? Thank you in advance.

Sheet metal screws.

Since I wasn't going to drill holes in my newly painted fender, I used 3M VHB tape and superglued screw heads for the authentic factory look.
