One is wider than the other… but I’m not sure which. I’ve only ever had an early one.

Oh ok thanks, probably the early one is wider at the top as the doors are flatter shape but the later ones taper in towards the top I think. Good to know. One is wider than the other… but I’m not sure which. I’ve only ever had an early one.
I'm almost positive I've seen 40 series with wipers at the bottom.-1974 had wipers on the top.
1975-1984 had wipers on the top.

My '78 (stock) BJ has wipers at the bottom,I'm almost positive I've seen 40 series with wipers at the bottom.![]()
They are the same width at the top of the windshield. I have an ‘81 hardtop on my ‘74. The header bars over the windshield are the same length.Oh ok thanks, probably the early one is wider at the top as the doors are flatter shape but the later ones taper in towards the top I think. Good to know.
Thanks I'll pass it on. I think the 64 is even different from the 65, so a 71 will different for sure.Might know someone with a ‘71 hood, but I think they are different than a ‘64. His dad knew tons of guys with old cars but he passed on a few years back. Don’t know if his son would know as many.
Locally there’s G.A.S. Classics - https://www.gasclassics.ca/. Parts for an old Chevelle would be their area of expertise. Talked a couple times with one of the mechanics that works there. Seem like good people.
His dad had a business polishing parts for old cars. Duncan was on the path to take over the business, but I’m not sure if he did or not. He ended up selling his dad’s collection of 50s cars and trucks to get bylaw enforcement off his back. Thanks I'll pass it on. Sherwood Auto up in Pt Alberni rebuilds radiators. Does good work.I was about to order a CSF 2708 radiator off Rockauto for my Bj60, as my rig seems to be running warmer and warmer, even though I just changed out the water pump. My radiator is OEM, and alot of the fins are just eaten right up, looks like a moth-eaten sweater at the front. Just checking in here in case anyone has a new radiator in their garage they want to sell me before I buy one online. The CSF 2708 is kinda the best one available right?
Townside Auto Repair in Victoria did a great job rebuilding my radiator. It was a few years back… $450 at that time, but I don’t know what they charge now.
Jesus, I remember getting mine done in Port Moody for a couple hundred. That was probably 25 years ago though....Had mine done there too and was happy. $900CAD if I remember; but that was for a four core upgrade.
Yeah, the world is a different place now. Golden years are past. Everything is 2-5 times expensive except my salary hasn't changed... LoLJesus, I remember getting mine done in Port Moody for a couple hundred. That was probably 25 years ago though....
That's because you were getting overpaid back then.Yeah, the world is a different place now. Golden years are past. Everything is 2-5 times expensive except my salary hasn't changed... LoL![]()
SOLD. Of course to someone in Vancouver. 9 guys on island. All trying to cheap me out by $100. So tiring..4 tires for sale realized I tired of rubbing ( pun intended ) and heavy weight eating up mileage. Went back to stock tires and wheels.
4 X 285/75R18 Toyo RT
9600 kms only. Used literally 1 yr almost to the day. Driven by 63 yr old easily on road only. Pictures show treads. Barely worn. They are new production. I’ll enclose pic of batch number so it you are worried about their age you can see they are 2024 made tires.
