Yes , that set will work excellent and is a great start . I'd also add the impact driver if you can afford it as it's really needed on a lot of fasteners on rusty old Cruisers - http://www.vesseltools.com/hand-tools/screwdrivers/impact/240001/flypage.tpl.html . If you have a cordless hex drive impact driver these bits are really useful and amazingly durable (also work better than Philips on Philips screws) -

Those bits are sold in quantities of 10 , but if you call you'll likely talk to Larry Koenig who is also the sales rep that set up our discount code - he will usually piece together small quantities of different sizes and waive the quantity requirement .

Just remember the coupon code if calling or ordering online - IH8MUD

I just noticed the impact driver kit #2400 has been discontinued and replaced with only the HD #24001 , basically at the same price so it's actually an upgrade . Have yet to find a screw it either doesn't take loose or just plain snap the head clean off . I did buy the extra set of driver bits but have yet to hurt one of the originals .

Sarge -

Awesome, thanks. I'm going to order some up today. Turns out I have a lower quality impact driver that has 8mm hex bits, so I'm going to order up a set of the bits in addition to the drivers.

Appreciate the feedback, and you setting up the price break for Mud members.

You guys getting any signs of spring in IL yet? We had another 1 - 2" of snow yesterday here. Blah.

Shoot, yeah. That's scary stuff - I was catching up about that on the news today. Yikes. Glad you're OK, and I'm sure lots of folks will be needing some help. I'll keep my eye out for how we can help from afar.

I couldn't get the code to work on the Vessel site, but I called and Larry ran it through for me. Order's on it's way, which is great, as I found some screws that the PO has done a number on. Hoping to get those out this coming weekend.

Sarge,
Is the discount code working online again? I need to pick up some new toys for my toys....

Thanks,
Will

Edit: I finally got my drivers today (03/22/16). Ordered on 03/16/16. Picked up the motorcycle kit and a #2 impacta driver to go with the #3 the kit came with. The even threw in a couple free bits with the order. The discount code was still in effect for online orders....

The coupon code worked for me to get a discount.
I haven't checked out yet.
I plan on getting the screwdriver set but I'm thinking I could get the 10 buck driver bits and use with my current driver. Thought that one does look nice I have trouble justifying spending that much for what I'm thinking will be used on windshield bolts I can't think of other uses at moment.

Great link thanks sarge

Their screwdrivers work so well , you'll use them for a lot more than just the Cruiser - I my Vessel drivers as a main tool all the time due to quality and they way they fit even on the Phillips screws...

Glad the code is still available , wasn't sure since I haven't purchased anything lately .

Same here, they've become my go-to drivers for anything that needs more torque than a switch plate screw or similar.
