Asking $38K. This is a broadly restored 1996 Lexus LX450 that was fixed to address any potential mechanical issues and to restore it cosmetically. I have always loved the F80 series of Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX450 and decided to restore and build a very robust and reliable over-lander and daily driver. I set out to create the nicest F80 possible with the intent of creating a vehicle that would last a very long time and be very reliable. I started with finding the lowest mileage F80 in the US. Looked for a year before finding it. I essentially went with the mentality to replace anything and everything that was not perfect or was in need of any attention because I was expecting to keep it for a very long time. I wanted a vehicle that could drive to Alaska or Chile. I did nearly everything mechanical through State Automotive, Land Cruiser specialist in Utah.

Highlights: new in last 150 miles: Old Man Emu 2.5 Lift, BF Goodrich KO Tires. 285 75 R16, Suspension Bushings, rebuilt steering knuckles using Koyo wheel bearings. rebuilt steering gear box. New radiator/hoses. Complete fluids flush - transmission, transfer case, front and rear differentials, cooling system, power steering and brakes. New fan, alternator and AC belts. Also the heater hose has been done but not in the last 200 miles. New “Center Dif Lock” switch to allow high range. New battery.

The body factory color re-spray was by Legend 4x4 - who specializes in 4X4 restorations. This was a fully stripped - windows and trim removed.

Interior: New leather front seats covers, new front seat heaters, new Lexus OEM driver seat seat cushions - also door arm rest, center arm rest, steering wheel and gear shift handle. New Sony stereo with Bluetooth, satellite and speakers. (also still have original radio). New keyless entry system with remote start. New window tint. Over 18K invested on top of the base vehicle.

Agreed and I saw this locally, weeks ago but it's a no-sunroof LX450. That's amazing.

$36,500 on the local classifieds. Mud gets the premium price!

Wonder where the $43k went ?

ouch! thats gonna be a painful loss of $. Im not sure why someone would do an expensive resto with intent to sell. But at least you can enjoy the dollars you threw into this for years to come as its a sweet restored 80 keeper unless you are prepared to take a $10k-$15k. los.

rad! slick top no sunroof! on a Lexus no less. I dig it. body work is not cheap, at all.

good luck with the sale, I think you've got a great looking 80

Is it leaking coolant? The additional pics of the engine on BAT look like Toyota Red or similar @ the top of the rad. tank crimp and blowing back on the engine. This looks like pressure not a spill for sure. The next question is why, and has it overheated. Has anyone else spotted this. This is an issue and I am a potential buyer, some explanation would be nice. For the record this is a lx450 that has had a lot of work done to it. Not a restoration. Not trying to offend.

It's a really nice truck. I can see the coolant near the radiator cap. It could be simply from when they filled/purged the cooling system. It could just need a radiator cap. It could have a bigger problem.

It would take a coolant pressure test, at minimum, to find out for sure.
