I'm wondeirng- do the Prado parts (front and rear bumper covers) provide better approach/departure angles, compared to the USDM GX460? Also, could you tell us a ballpark figure if someone wanted to replicate this conversion?

*facepalm* I feel a bit sheepish- I didn't realize that was for both a front and rear facia conversion. Thanks for linking that again.

• Departure angle on ‘10+ on high RAHC models seems to be hard to come by.

I have a question on the front and rear panels. I saw on Ronny Dahl's youttube channel about his Prado build and he mentioned that he used BushWrapz PPF to protect his vehicle. I looked them up and it is quite a bit cheaper then anything I can find here. I contacted them and they ship here, but are unsure if it is a like for like. Based on the image it looks like that at a minimum from the rear to the front light it looks the same. What do you think? is the front fender much different?

I appreciate the detailed info on approach/departure angles! I'm definitely going to have to do some thinking. A Prado conversion is certainly good looking. For the money though, I think f/r bumpers would be more prudent. I'm so torn.

Oh yeah. I'm not into the bright colors either - but it's a demo car, so , I get it...

The bottom is steel AFAIK.

Few more in more subtle colors.

It's from a Japanese company called Roadhouse / KADDIS. They make a bunch of interesting stuff. But it's my favorite bumper / bull bar for sure.
Hi, im very new to this and i know its been a while since this has been posted, but would you mind telling me if you had to cut out the bumper to fit this bar? Or does it have brackets attaching to the tow points?

Thanks in advance!

Have you gone to the manufacturer and looked at the assembly instructions? Often times they have a PDF that can be downloaded. If not, give them a call.
In case urj150 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/members/urj150.145509/ doesn't get back to you.

Thanks Mate Appreciate your response, I've reached out to the manufacturer but apparently all the instructions are in Japanese so doubt that would work, I've requested for an English translation of it..

I know you can do a Google Translate from Japanese to Australian for the instructions, but the grammar, syntax, etc. will be all jacked up and hard to read, but it may give you an idea of installation.
I remember hearing about one Japanese translation for some electronic device that was describing to insert one object into another and used the "F" word to describe the action, not understanding the English connotation of the word.

Just kidding about the translate to Australian. Been to your country a few times on surf trips, east coast, from Sydney up to Brisbane and further north. :p
Always loved it and killer surf!! Planning on going back some day.
