I dunno if the surferettes or yourself would like a venue like the handlebar. The name alone should throw out some clues as to what kind of joint it would be. I have seen a few bar rumbles there. As far as showing off local talent yeah its a cool place. There's also the joint in clemson, that is a really good place to go to if you want to get to see some local talent. I have seen serveral bands there that I was really impressed with. Solari, Sol driven train, drivebytruckers,the working title etc etc. I hope you guys can find somthing that suits. You must have gone when Poison was there.

I've been there a more times than I can count. I've never seen a fight. Though I mostly go to bluegrass since that is the kind of stuff I like.

Thanks for the heads=up, Matt. I would propably like the place. My wife would not. My two surferettes, would most likely find it interesting.

I'll pass on your suggestions to them and see what they are up for. I am fortunate that my girls always liked good alternative music and never fell into the mainstream crap. They also like and drive Toyotas.
