Criss Cross will make ya jump, jump. :D

Sweet build man. Looks real nice. Only if my 40 looked like that.

Hi Mike
Sweet ride. I got my first cruiser when I was 17, that was about 35 years ago.

Very well outfitted. That is definitely a vehicle to keep FOREVER. I like the CF quarters idea.

Forever means until the end the next school year to a 16 yr old.

Width of wheels? Backspacing? Where did you have them widened. Charge per wheel? Tire size?

Thanks!

Great Looking Rig.

...Next on the list is rear discs w/ proportioning valve cuz those stinkin drums lock up so easily...:

Rear disks are not going to help this. It is highly likely rear disks will make this worse. Assuming everything is working properly, adjusted right, no oil on shoes, etc, this is a proportioning problem. I'd put in an adjustable proportioning valve and try that first. Throwing money at a problem is no fun when it makes it worse. BTDT.

Sure, you can use an adjustable proprtioning valve with drums. I personally have never heard of anyone needing it but you may. I woud first make sure everything is working, adjusted, shoes not wet with 90wt from a bad axle seal, etc. 90wt on shoes makes them really grabby.

they'll be running them off of spent condoms by the time they're old.

cmon, spit up the cost of having the wheels widened.

haha, actually I bought them from a guy who widened them for his 60(!?!?!) and then sold it. I bought all five brand spankin unmounted post powdercoating for $400. I believe it costs 90/wheel to have em' widened though, and around 40/wheel to have em' powdercoated, not to mention the 75/wheel to buy em new from toyota...what a deal :)

I wish I could run it off of spent condoms!!

I had the same exact deal with my rear drums, when i would get on the brakes really hard one of the rears would always lock, and make me feel like a jackass

Ya, you can replace shoes, adjust, etc etc....With as cheap as it is to rear disks I went ahead and did it, no more adjusting, they work really well. I did the conversion about 5 years ago and I haven't had any trouble. I installed a proportioning valve at the same time.
