Awesome news, I need a driver's side mount!! Also was wondering about the seat lift. I was wondering if there is enough room for an Amp under the drivers seat with the FEM and the seat riser?

Now you just need you sell a subwoofer box and I'll be good..

Looks like you just answered my question on the next project.

Seats need new leathers so I'll do that, attempt to fix the non-working passenger seat with new gears, and add the extinguisher mount, locktop, and cargo liner. I don't need a car-b-que in my future.

I submitted the purchase order a week ago Friday. I'm expecting production to actually begin end of next week. Then it's off to welding and powder coat. I'm doing both sides.

Well...long story short, I have a new metal shop I'm working with. The old place just pushed me over the edge and there is only so much abuse I can tolerate. The new shop started the laser cutting today and will be doing the CNC braking by the weekend.

Just picked up my next batch of FEM-1 and FEM-2 fire extinguisher mounts. These will go to tumbling and powder coating on Monday. Ready to ship out the following week.

Miss my days working in a metal shop. Getting metal tumbled - is that necessary?

There are many reasons to tumble but for me specifically I use it to minimize physical labor/cost, to use the solution as a degreaser before powder coating, deburring and rounding off edges. I don't want someone installing or reaching down and cutting their hands on a sharp piece of metal.

Fire Extinguisher Mounts FEM-1 and FEM-2 are in stock and ready to ship again! Well... ready to ship after Turkey Day cuz I'm leaving town in the morning to be with family. But on Monday orders can go out.

Joey, did I ever post in this thread about how I used my fire extinguisher that was readily available because of the FEM-2? I witnessed a bad t-bone accident and the car caught on fire. I was able to put out the fire.

Everyone should have one (or two!).

Not here but I saw it on the "What did you do this weekend" thread. Crazy stuff!

Just submitted my order for a pair of them (one for each side) since I'm of the view that a kitted out 4wd of any kind should have some sort of basic fire supression available. I'll be interested to see how other Aussie 4wd folks think about them once they're installed.

Clandestine Lab Partners  Looking forward to getting them. With Aus being a country the same physical land area as the USA but with 1/10th the population (good since so few people here like Trump!), Ozzie Land has a lot more remote areas.

What's the best size of extinguisher to mount on them? Looks like I can get 2 or 2.5 kg dry chem's new here in Oz for a decent price.

BTW One good use of those accessory switch locations could be to power small UHF radios with the main unit(s) mounted in the space behind the front face of the extinguisher mount.

Craig.

Only a small handful have made their way to AUS

Hey Joey,

QQ that I should have asked you on the phone the other day.

How difficult is it to wire the accessory punch outs to recline the seat? I'm one of the many people that doesn't have the ability to recline the passenger side seat (button and post missing) and while I found a new button at the junk yard I have no idea how to acquire a new post? (prolly should ask @beno ).

Was it difficult to wire the seat recline to the FEM punch outs? (gonna use the antenna up/down buttons since I removed the antenna)

Thanks for any insight.

I have a 96 Toyota FSM and the wiring seems to be different for the seats on the 97 Lexus. I thought I had it figured out but it wasn't quite right. I should go back and spend a little more time on it. If I can figure out which wires I need then wiring it isn't an issue.

Received mine a while back but finally they're installed - drivers (RH) side:

pass (LH) side one is mirror image of this. Don't have extinguishers yet but working on what size I want. Thinking 2.5 kg depending on length and how phat.

I've got no flooring in the front at present as evidenced by the recycled old car mat. Got new stuff to go in (Resomat, underlay, vinyl flooring, etc. from Tru-Fit carpets here in Oz), but working on getting all that fugly bitumen stuff removed. Will probably attempt the dry-ice method. Nearest dry ice supplier is an hr away.

Yeah the carpet is makes it sit level, or at least 90* to the floor :P

Happy to see Australia representing :D

I've been looking at options for an accessible place to put a 2.5 lb halotron extinguisher that is somewhat less exposed than the back of the center console ever since my wife set off my extinguisher with a 12 pack. Apparently one of the kiddos had pulled the safety pin at some point and the wife was trying to help me get in after a trip to the beer store and sat my Shiner on top of the handle.... 4 months later, I'm still finding powder. Time to upgrade to halotron, and time to put it somewhere that little pilfering fingers can't find it!

This looks to be the best option I've seen. Anybody mounted one of these under a Corbeau seat (I have the Corbeau GTS II's up front)?

I'm also looking to put a secondary unit on the D pillar. What are you guys using for that?

I'm going to weigh in my purchase of the bracket. I'm a guy who likes to figure a better way to do something. Well, you wont do better than this bracket. You just wont. Joey is so top notch in his engineering that you cant beat it. It went in there perfectly and the holes fit the bracket on my halotron extinguisher perfectly. The hardware is top notch too. The packaging was my first impression of the attention to detail. It was packed like a fine sandwich at a high end deli. I can tell the amount of time that he put into it. I will buy more products from him. I wish he would make one of those consoles and send it to me for a 25 year beta test. My Wits-End decal is with my other decals on the rear slider. I'm proud to display it. Thanks man!

Ok I have to reply and second exactly what josey said. I opened the box and thought wow, wits end butcher paper with perfectly folded edges, this guy cares about what he does. Fit and finish of the product was perfect, communication and shipping perfect. A nice little baggy with high quality hardware. Top notch from stem to stern.

Oh man that is rough!

Fits fine. There is actually more space available under the Corbeau's.

I'm working on it ;)
