The answers are yes and yes. The set up I am using and proposed to the OP both reads and clears codes. It's fantastic, cheap, removable, customizable display, it's great. I couldn't be happier with it.

For me total setup was what $10 for the app or something and $12 for the BT odb doohickey. Already had a phone that is on me so.....

(not arguing the UltraGauge is a fine accessory)

Just ordered an ultra gauge myself. Between these and the scan gauge how are people plugging them into the Obd2 port and keeping it hidden? Is there a way to move the port so the plastic cover can still be used?

I moved the OBD2 connector behind the panel. Inspection is every 2 years, so I just move it back as needed.

just got a y cable that allows normal OBD and have UG off different link. Works fine. Was outa China
