Are my tax dollars helping you with the teardown?

I'm sure your tax dollars did something, but I don't think it was with the teardown...thank god! :)

The gentleman that assisted me in AU with the aquisition of this troopy had put a package in the back of the troopy for me to ship to a friend of his when it arrived. That is the only thing I could tell that they got into. It was all taped up with a bright lime green tape that had, "inspected by U.S. customs and border patrol" all over it. Other than that, not sure what they did.

As far as updates. Pic taken 2 days ago dropped off at work, Wed. 11-17-10.

Light dusting of snow in the parking lot. Battery that came in it from AU was toast, had to put a new one in to get it started. Other than that, drove right off to it's new home in Northern Minnesota.

Looking forward to following the build thread. Will you share your plans?

Glad to see it arrived. As we talked about, I 'm sure whatever you do with it, it will be epic. Can't wait to see more pics.

Yes, there will be some sort of build thread. In fact I would like to get that going here very shortly so that all this info can be in one thead and I can start bouncing ideas off of people.

Whatever thread I do it will start off fairly slowing, maybe taking a few baby steps forward, and then one major step back, and then several leaps and bounds forward again.

More to come on that and my initial thoughts when I start the build thread.....;)

giddy up another buck thread..

Hopefully the bits are all still there. :)
My first 2 troopies came in for intensive about 3 years ago. One I was really worried about, having never done this, because it has an SBC (with DIESEL on the grille) and one of the exemption forms says it must have the original engine. Well, neither the engine swap nor the fact it did not have any VIN plates on it, held it up, so I have no idea what they looked at. Another one wasn't quite 25 years old yet, but no problem there, either.

Glad you got yours with no drama. I can't wait to see the build, I loved the lwb build. I guess I missed what happened to your LV no longer in your sig, where is it? That was a beauty.
