Just picked up a set of (2) OEM knock sensors for $60 a pair:clap:shipped

Genuine Denso Japan knock sensor 89615-30050 For TOYOTA Land Cruiser FZJ80 | eBay
Be careful. Every sensor I have bought off eBay seems to be fake. Looks good but throws engine code. This has happened with DENSO and Toyota branded items. Ignition coils, o2 sensors, fuel injectors, etc. I ended up putting back the original oem parts and buying from Toyota and then no problems. Just be careful.

Same, I had replaced my sensor with an off brand from rock auto and a couple months later the cel was back. Replaced with Toyota and has never come back. Just spend once and get it over with.

Just went through this job and found this thread extremely helpful. Took a couple of pictures to add here for anyone looking in the future.

I was having a hard time getting the extensions through over the top, so ended up doing it from the wheel well and will just 2 short extensions.

I only removed the far right tab and tucked the rubber/plastic back behind the spring coil (ignore my horrible shocks - OME is on order).

Sensor location as seen looking up from just to the right of the shock.

This is how I approached it with the ratchet.

Cheers!

FWIW, every one of these I've replaced has been pretty well stuck to the block. In addition to two extensions, I had to use a swivel in between them, so that I could get my impact on the end. It zips them right off.

Working through the wheel well is the only way to go, IMO.
