Yes, mine is turboed. We did it with a kit from TurboGlide. The kit was 2000US$ shipped, and is truly well made. All I needed in addition was new manifold gaskets, I put new studs on as well, and an exhaust (2.5 inches). Oh, and gages, of course.
I don't see any cons. The truck gest 22mpg on average, a bit better on long highway travel. IMO it has lots of power. I barely ever shift back into 4th on the highway.
A few unexpoected things came up during the install: the manifold nut closest to the firewall is a pain to get to. plan an hour to tighten that one.
The kit is made for RHD vehicles, so there is very little space between the brake booster for the install. I took out the brake and clutch booster, and it made the install a lot easier.
However, when I drove through deep holes, the turbo manifold slammed against the brake booster. The solution: Install a FJ60 booster, they are smaller. Or, what I did, take the HJ60 booster off, disassemble, heat it up where it hits, and smash it in. Sounds bad, but is easy and works perfectly well.
Let me know if you need pics.

I have not yet turboed my HJ-60 but still in plans .. ( some day some day ) I see no cons in this upgrade .. all are pros ..

But is a issue the status of your engine .. 330 km aren't a lots .. but are a good ones .. I recomended a comprension test to know a little more about your engine prior of turbo setup

Hello jan-78fj40
I am also thinking of the turbo glide kit. Going to order it next week. Would you rec.. the kit? My HJ60 is a slug and need some more pulling power. Could you email photos of the install. My biggest worry was the install in a LHD vehicle. But if it works it all good.

Tha kit is great, IMO. very well done, and well documented.

I'll email you some pics. what is the cutoff size of your yahoo account-the pics are big.

no problem with the LHD, except that it is a pain to pull the booster, and to modify it. However, if you know what you need to do, no problem.

It bolts up to the stock exhaust manifold on a 2H. I still have to overhaul the engine. And plan on installing it into my BJ40.

I bought this
