I installed a mamba ct26 turbo on my 1hd-ft and realized that I didn’t adjust the preload correctly.

Is there a way to change the preload without taking the turbo off?

Of course, I've done it hundreds of times. You can change the preload and the springs easily enough with the turbo still installed. Depending on how much preload you need I sometimes use a bike pump or compressor to pump up the actuator to help connect the rod back up to the gate flap.

How do you take the c clip off when the turbo is on?

I just flick it off with an oring pick. Little fuc#ers go flying and can never find it again so have a spare packet of 50 clips on hand haha.
