2014 TRDs installed on 275/70 Duratracs. I will be modding the center caps to get those installed this weekend. Thank You to Summit Cruisers for the pics and info on how to make that mod happen. I got about another 3 months on these tires then moving up to the STT Pros.

I am so thrilled to see these wheels on your LC. These are the ones I want and I have been dying to see them on a silver LC. We are close to being twins with awnings on the same side, but I removed the spoiler to install a ladder.

Looks great!

Thanks! I just received a set of the TRD wheel caps. I am going to match the paint of the TRD logo with my color. I just need to run down to my local dealer to pick up some touch up paint. I will post a pic once I'm done.

20".
What's wrong with these pictures:

I know this topic has come up many times in this thread and others, but which center caps work better or easier on these Tundra 18s, the LC caps (I have the stock 16" wheels on my 2000) or the Tundra caps?

I bought a set of Tundra 18" alloys for $100. They're pretty dirty but have virtually no road rash/imperfections. Can't wait to have 'em on the cruiser.

Those are 01 LX wheel caps with 20", pictured above.

Ben, you've seen the 01 LC wheel cap's with 18" tundra's, on my 01 LC.

Picked up the 20's with stock tires for free from a friend who lifted his 2015 tundra. hated the way they looked so they are stacked in my garage along with three other sets of wheels and tires.

View attachment 1319414 View attachment 1319413 Recently acquired 99 with the dial. Just installed 2014 Tundra wheels. No spacers needed. Just flattened the dust covers and ground down the inside of the cap a bit.

These pics inspired me to buy these exact wheels for my black 2001 LX470. They look great.

Can I get a little more color on "ground down the inside of the cap a bit"?

I've flattened the dust covers seemingly as far as they will go. The center cap seems like it's really close to snapping in place, but it's not quite there. I'm looking at the back of the center cap, but it's not obvious (to me at least :-)) where I should be grinding.

@bpe3 I went a little different route than post 108. I concentrated on the dust cap area clearance. That's the issue not the side fins. Here's a pic of what I ground down. I also kept test fitting it until no residue from the dust cap transferred onto the center cap. You can also apply some black paint to the dust cap to detect touching.

Thanks for the pics. I was wondering if there was more to it than the fins. Mine seemed very close to fitting, but the blockage definitely seemed to be more in the middle than around the edges.

20" Tundra's bought on craigslist with brand new tires. Cut a 2" hole with a hole saw in front center caps so they could fit. Huge improvement in look over my chrome stock LX470 wheels.

I've had a couple sets of those my fav combo is running a 305/55/20 terra grappler on them. Great ride and fills out the wheel wells nicely.
