Tim,

I'm not sure what you are looking for. The compressor only has 2 wires; +12v DC and -12v DC. The diagrams included with the compressor is just a suggestion. To test your compressor you can hook it directly to a battery or any DC source.

The actual wiring is custom based on how you intend to install it. One member, ManRigDude, just hooks his up this way (2 wires). If you are looking for a wiring/plumbing diagram then I have some of those. The configurations can be somewhat complex depending on how you plan to install the Extreme Air. (Pressure switch, on-off switch, relay triggered, solenoid, fuses, circuit breakers, etc.

If you know the compressor works then post up your diagram and we will see if we can help.

I will look it over soon...I just got home from working all night...time to sleep:)

Does anyone know if this is the same/similar compressor advertised in this weekends Sunday Sale flyer that has the integral 2 Gal. tank? It was also in the $50.00 area.

There is no tank on the tsunami compressor.

HIJACK HIJACK !!

Where can I get an adequate compressor to keep my OBA tank up to snuff? I have a clapped out ARB compressor in the truck, and would prefer electric to a York type compressor.

I just purchased a Puma 12V portable air compressor for $75.00. Not bad puts out 3.4 CFM 100% duty cycle and has a 1.5 gallon tank. I have a friend that run one and it seems to work ok. I should have it this week. We will see. Has tank pressure switch and pump 12volt. If it works well I will do a write up after I have it installed. I also found this link: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=371546

Here is the spects.

  • Specs:
  • 125 PSI
  • oil-Less compressor
  • Pressure Switch
  • Compact, lightweight 28 lbs
  • 3.4 cfm @ 40 psi
  • 3 cfm @ 90 psi
This little compressor is very handy. Pump up tires (car, lawn mower, etc, runs a 3/8" air impact. Great around the house compressor for those smaller jobs. You can also take this one with you when something is broke down and work on it on sight. We have run a 1/2" impact but it works it pretty hard.

That's a great price. Please let everyone know where they can buy these units for $75. At that price these are a far better deal than the Tsunami compressors. Tank, pressure switch, high volume compressor, guage... all in one complete tested package for $75. Wow!

I was looking at a thomson air compressor last week on ebay and ran accross it. I have seen them (a puma) on ebay for 180.00 before, but did not move on it. I could not pass up bidding on it when I saw it for a low price.

A 1-off deal on eBay or a yard sale doesn't help everyone very much unless the seller has a bunch that they are unloading for that price.

You should make that clear before you post.

Sorry I did not know the post police was monitoring the page:flipoff2: . I stated I got it off Ebay. I did not know I had to be that detailed about it. I will try to be more detailed in the future.

If it works well it still may be a good deal at 180.00. Especially since it is a complete unit with tank and all. So if you would like to get one at a regular price its available for 180 on ebay.:flipoff2:
