What's that leaking on the floor.....a/c condenser water I hope.....

Yep. I was performing an operational test of the auxiliary climate control system.

Tim,

It looks good. The tire carrier is simple but very functional. After this weekend I have a spot in Feb. AND the race will be thursday before the big race, makes the week work better... BTW the bender is ready to go back to your shop.

The RV got a little love this weekend too, in the form of what may be the world's ugliest, yet functional, dual tire carrier.

I dont know if they will get past the fact its a monorail on wheels much less worry about the spare tires lol

Got the engine bay painted and started putting a face back on it. (Thanks to Tony for the black grill!)

I decided to build the fuel system to meet KOH rules. You never know...besides a safe fuel system is a no brainer.

RCI 22 gallon cell with fast fill and JAZ fender fill kit.

Kinda torn about seats. The bench had to go. Rob hooked me up with his old SR5 seats which I found out this weekend are not a direct bolt in. They will work with some drilling and backing plates, but it got me thinking about other options.

I know suspension seats in Standard Cabs are tough, but I pulled a Corbeau out of the 40 and gave it a test fit. I had more room than I thought I would, even with a helmet on. BUT I'm only 5' 8" and a buck thirty soaking wet. I think I can fit some nice suspension seats and harnesses in, but it might be tight for anyone much larger than me. Might be a phase 2 option.

Looking good Tim. I will be up sat with the bender.

I think I'm averaging over an hour per bend. There are seven in this main hoop.

Haven't fully committed yet, but I may run the hoop like this instead of behind the cab. Vince suggested punching a bar through the cab to mount the shoulder harness to. Now that I see it, I think it will work nice. Complicates the X brace but what isn't complicated about an exo cage?

My yet to be finished sliders. Seemed simple. Turned our to be a giant PITA. Ask Rob or Cam - both witnessed my frustration Sat am as I fought slight manufacturing inconsistencies and QC issues Clearly the engineering was spot on and not the problem.

I still vote for behind the cab and run the bars into the cab like we talked. X-bracing and the side bracing will be much easier. Think about seat mounts.

Either way the bends look really good Tim!

looks great i think behind the cab punch thru the back of the cab for the harness mounts & seat frame

Looks good. What brand rear air shocks are u using?

looks like a sticky situation.

put the hoop in the back and run a u hoop off of the horizontal tube in your x brace and run the harnesses off of that. So instead of punching the tube threw the side punch it threw the back. Makes the x brace easy and gives you the seat tube also.
