Hey Jake. I'm very glad you are happy with the wrench. Please spread the good word to all your buddies with Scepters. Got a pack of them going out to Metal Tech today and still looking for at least a couple more mail order retailers, maybe one in the northeast and one in the southwest.

i will ask around ..

I might have missed it; have you posted a price on these? Please pm me with a price if you'd rather not publicly post it. I'm interested in the HDPE version.

I did some torture testing this evening. I knew they were darn tough but just wanted to satisfy my curiosity.

First, I simply placed a wrench across two wood blocks and drove my FJ right up on there. Left it parked for about five minutes while I got my camera and took pics. The sharp corners of the hard maple blocks made very small marks on the underside.

I moved the FJ off of the wrench. The wrench had a good bend to it so I flipped it over on the wood blocks and bounced on it with my 230 pounds. It got most of the bend out and it fit right on the fuel nozzle and cap with no problems. You can see a slight bend left in it.

I then screwed a cap to one of my beefy old woodworking benches and placed the same wrench on there. I bounced on it with 230 pounds numerous times and no problems. The cap was starting to deform and there were a coiuple small marks in the wrench's recess. This wrench will take whatever you can dish out. : )

Two thumbs up for a great product, very happy with the functionality and build quality. Thanks again Woodsman!

These American-Made wrenches are now available though Metal Tech 4 x 4 and Southeast Overland.

Having made a prototype with one longer handle, I definitely find the two handled version easier and more intuitive to use. However, for those who maybe like that style better or only have one hand or one arm, I can see how that would be desirable. If there is interest, I will add to the mix.

do want, and from the source, not a 3rd party. pm inbound

Metal Tech is your place. From what James (Woodsman) PM'd to me that was his agreement: Not to sell direct any longer in exchange for distribution rights by retailers.

Got mine from MT in just a couple days.

So noted, thread is hereby closed.

Please purchase this outstanding item from the links above, and pm the Woodsman for details.

Cruiser Outfitters also has these wrenches for purchase for those in that neck 'o the woods. Not sure if they are up on their website.

Absolutely love mine, used it dozens of times now no some pretty stubborn cans, always did the trick

Bump. Use this wrench weekly. It is a must have if you own scepter cans.
With the gas prices here in Canada through the roof $1.56 per litre where I live
I Just hop across the border and get it for $1.06 a liter Canadian or $3.03 US a gallon At Costco In Bellingham.
We Fill up the vehicle and bring home 3 scepter cans full of fuel home
for the wife’s car.
Without this wrench it would be a pita to open these things sometimes
