Troopy wheel base.

Gday, my wheel base is under spec by 90mm, it measures 590mm form the rear fixed hanger to the centre of diff. But by tail shaft will not fit in!!
The tail shaft compressed is 1334mm and that is what it measures between transfer case and diff. It has a 80mm lift but I thought that would extend the tail shaft being lifted??
I’m at the end of my thoughts with it.
And no the springs aren’t in backwards.

Ok you have a 1986 troppy with 5 speed box. I’m guessing you may have a later gearbox fitted for the tail shaft issue. Can you tell us how long the gearbox is from engine block to tail shaft flange then tail shaft flange to diff flange.

It is a standard 5sp from factory in the troopy. Length from the diff flange to the gearbox/transfer flange is 1335mm
