Once these rigs are 20 years old, in the U.S. does DOT and emissions no longer apply? Can they be imported? If so, we're up 1989. There were a lot of cool Land Cruiser made in 1989 and prior.

Also, how hard is it to insure one? Even just for liability?

It's 25 years or older, so we're at 1984. One more year before we move into the 70 series.

Drive the North road into Scorpion Bay just once and tell me you don't want a second spare just in case especially if you are solo.

Sweet rig Michael, you bringing it to the shindig on the 25th? BTW, the guys camped next to us at Surf N Turf this year had a navy blue troopy similar to yours. I think they brought it up from Guatemala? Really cool truck!

Thanks, it was a great find and has served me well, I am still figuring out the best configuration for what I use it for. More changes of the coming months to the Troopy.

Looks great, I am thinking that must be and 07 or 08 model, all of the 09 models I have seen have Center brake light above rear doors, do you know what year it was?

Cheers,

Michael

Only the GXL troopy gets the centre brake light, even in the V8 diesel model.
I think it started with the 78 series in 98-

Even the later rv 75 series troopy's got the light
