43000kms and 3200 hours = 13km/hr...what kind of truck would spend 15 years driving at 13 km/hr?...hmmmm....I wish I could "dig" up the answer to this question...if this truck were "mine" I would know the answer...

ROTFLMAO!!!

You'd be surprised what can be made from some mine trucks! Right, Wayne? ;)

Pimp purchased the 45-LV that was restored by Stephen. This is a 45 troopie that he did.. I wonder what his next cruiser restoration is?

Steve was really close to buying my BJ42 for restoration then camp upon a 1982 (I think) FJ40.

Real nice guy, spoken to him a couple of times.

Pimp was the guy I was thinking of...but I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for the confirmation. So I guess that one isn't Pimp's truck...

well, i have been told that my 97 mine truck does perform quite well and it seems to be able to turn heads easy enough...

now i just hope my other 75 turns out as nice or nicer...
so far, tub redone, new front clip, interior from a LJ71 so comfy factory buckets, PW,PM,PDL, carpet, upgraded dash, painted dash, new top and back, 2 1/2" lift, snorkel, engine is producing 580 575 575 575 580 with excellent oil pressure, new windshield, frame sand blasted, and checking into factory air conditioning, new grill, chrome running boards, front bumper, mirrors, tail lights, etc. and finally a tray back (i think steel with wood floor but not too sure yet)
so all in all it should turn out nice enough for a company beater...
cheers

Wayne: Pics?
Yep, taking lots of pics of the whole process. I am waiting for the rest of Paul's BJ42 fiberglass parts so I thought I would start on this unit.
this is the one I hope to bring out to the Land Cruiser Days for it's inaugural run. I like to have something not everyone has, even if it is not as cool as some of the rigs that will be there, it should be a one of a kind...
I will post pics or a link later...
(thanks for asking)

ummm, no. but when you do all your own work and have a parts supply house in the back yard then it does help to keep the costs down...
;^)
if this truck had to have all new/custom parts supplied and installed by a 3rd party and painted with the custome tray back then i would hazzard a guess at around $25,000 - $35,000 CND... depending on the shop that is doing the work. i have no doubt the truck will be appraised at close to $30,000..

WOW! Wayne, I am suddenly afraid that I have under-insured my truck. Can you PM me with what you figure it's worth to replace?, knowing it's pretty much like the raggie you had prior to custom touches.

I chat a little bit with that guy who sell this truck (is a french guy from Québec working in Yukon). The PO make a trip from the Chilli (Terre de feu) trough Alaska…. Wow… what a nice trip.
