hey there i was curious how the upgraded breaks were working for you. were they worth the extra $$? my booster pump failed me a month ago while on the highway (lucky to still have my rig) and i tow a lot of very heavy loads, so ive been thinking about upgrading my breaks but not sure of it would make a difference. the booster was 4K which seemed insane but not much i could do....

So if your referring to the drilled and slotted rotors, id say they are worth it. Take that advise with this in mind, my front brakes were really BAD. Between the master failing, the calipers locking up and some absolutely trashed front rotors its hard to say what made the most difference.

glad you're alright, a booster failing at highway speeds had to be scary. 4K !!!!o_O that seems high i bought mine from my local dealer and it was 1300.00

So this is how it sits as of today, I’ve got some plans and projects for it over the winter. I’ll keep this thread updated. Winter is when I get most of my projects done, I don’t drive my trucks once MD starts salting the roads for no reason lol

This evening I moddified the factory roof molding to work with the gamiviti expo rack had to cut a notch out ove each one for the 4 mounting foot and trim the back of the existing holes to slip ove the rack feet

Small little thing but slowly checking them off the too do list

Man 100's just look right on 35's! I keep telling myself I don't need to go down that rabbit hole, but it will happen one day...

I support that decision 100 percent

My bad lol, I'm sure you could pick some up again cheap

Again not much to report, we didn't get any snow this winter so just been occasionally driving it, I do have a squeak I need to track down in the serpentine belt ( I've already taken the belt off but can't tell which pulley is making the noise ) did help @TTViper install his new dobinson MRR shocks and he left me his old Ironman cell foam pro's. They don't have to many miles on them just some trail scuffs so I may swap the OME's out or just shelf them until needed.

Crappy final product picture but I spent some time yesterday removing the AVS rain guards and installing some Wellvisors. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality for the price. They are way thinker and more rigid than the AVS, I also like the fact that they are about twice as deep.

Nothing I hate more than removing old double sided tape, I was nervous to take my pneumatic eraser wheel to the thin black paint on the door. So I cracked a  and proceeded to heat gun and remove my fingerprints :bang: by manually rubbing it off

Knocking out small projects, I have my midland micromobile mount where the ash tray was, it a great location but I've always had trouble hearing the built in speaker. I purchased the midland external speaker and didn't realize how big it was until it arrived but I did find a good home for it on the passenger kick panel ( out of the way and almost out of sight) can hear the radio perfectly now

Yesterday I install the GP factor spare tire maxtrax mount, I'm gonna get some serious overland points for this one lol. They will not be on the truck full time but as controversial as traction boards are, they do have they purpose and come in handy when you need them.

Truck's looking good!
Can I ask for a favor? Could you measure the diameter of one of the little round lights in your Dobinson rear bumper?

Late night in the shop, install a new aisin fan clutch and worked on my on board dual battery charger from noco, I've just about run out of room in the engine bay, the only decent place I could figure is right in front of the air box. I actually mounted it to the air box itself, cables had plent enough length to reach both batteries. Along with the charger I got the noco power port and I'm mounting it on the passenger side of the bumper. Got the homes drilled for it, I'm gonna grab some hardware for it tomorrow and debur everything and paint before install

Truck hangs out in the garage so I usually keep it on a tender, this solution will be convenient. Pull it in and plug it in, and if we are at a campsite with power I can plug it in and the charger will help keep the AGM's happy with a constant 5 amp.

@ClassyJalopy the fog lights are 4", now you got me thinking wrangler led fogs are 4" 🤔
Thanks, I meant the round lights in the rear bumper. The red and white ones - they seem smaller than 4"
