When I bought my Lv it was in Wyoming. We put it on a flat bed trailer and towed it with my friend's 1 ton pickup no problem to California. I have also flat towed a couple of F55s a few hundred miles. If your flat towing it is recommended to remove the driveshafts

You might want to check with Specialty Mobile Systems (www.autotransportspecialty.com ) if you don't want to move the truck yourself. Otherwise--Uhaul has trailers for rent that work well. I have used them many times in the past and finally broke down and bought my own flatbed. I have a 2500 Dodge that I have towed upto an 8000lb truck in the mountains and did not have any trouble. Otherwise get the 45 running and drive it the 1000 miles. Good luck.

66LV -

I used a company called Tim Stears Transporters for my FJ45 from San Jose, CA to Burbank, CA.

Their website is http://www.carmover.net

The truck was non-operational and the logistics of pick-up and drop-off required a ton of coordination. I found the driver they contract with to be very helpful.

This was the second time I have used them. Sue is my contact.

Cheers,
FJ45 Dude
