I will be teaching how to rebuild a transfer case at Alan Hardin's shop Sunday October 15th starting at noon.

I will have at least one case that anyone can practice on.

We will rebuilding single piece t-cases common to FJ40s and FJ55s. If you would like your case rebuilt you will need to have it removed from the tranny Or at least no attached to the vehicle.:D We will go through the entire rebuild. I and Alan will supply the needed special tools but would ask that you have your own basic tools available. (I will provide a list shortly of what basic tools you will need)

You will also need to buy a rebuild kit for your specific model year cruiser.

We will also be rebuiling a 4spd case with the 3 speed gears for those that want to see this mod.

Can you PM me Alan's address to see how far it is from me?

Also, do you have to bring a T-Case to rebuild to attend or can you just come for the knowledge transfer?

I could use the address too. Gonna be tough to make it but if there is any way, I'm going to try.

Also along with a rebuild kit you will want to buy some shims from Rick...They are 68 cents a piece...and there are 4 sizes I ordered 2 of each so I can mix and match them to get the right thickness I need. The reason you may need them is that when you rebuild it it will be a lot tighter so there may be some slop between the casings and these shims take out that slop. Marshall and I discovered this after puttin mine back together.
