Okay Mud I've been doing research on this subject for a while and would like some input. I have an A340H tranny in my truck and I want to gain more power/MPG/other options by loosing the T-case it has. I have two options Inch Worms adapter or just swapping in an A340F tranny. The Adapter is $550 and the tranny alone will cost $700 to have it put in plus whatever the tranny costs But if I have the adapter installed I have to pay to have my tranny torn down rebuild and it installed. So what do you guys think would be the best option to choose from? And I do wanna keep this an auto even though my plans are to turn it into a rock crawler.

1988-95 3VZ-E 3.0-liter V6 drivetrains.

"This adapter kit allows you to bolt the Toyota RF1A Gear Drive Transfer case behind your 1988-95 3.0L V6 Hilux/T100 5-speed or 1993-95 3.0L V6 T100 automatic transmission.

We have designed our kit using a 23-spline coupler for ultimate strength. Therefore, a 23-spline gear drive transfer case or Crawl Box input will be required.

Also, this short 1/2"-thick design requires a top-shift style transfer case or Crawl Box.

Please note: This kit requires a 23-spline gear drive t/case input gear. Please click the image to the left to view our Total-Spline 23-spline input gear."
