Order received! Packaged and ships tomorrow.

We'll see if I'm still here when the registration runs out.... DINGO is good until 11/21 in WY..... HA!

Thanks,

J

Feeling a little healthier (physically) so I got started on another round of front "ZERK" bumpers today.

These should go to the coater this week and available late next week for purchase.

I dig those. 60/62 series? If yes, any plans to make a bull bar style bumper?

These are just the shells. All of these will get a lower profile center bullbar. Last one I did was a higher center bullbar.

What do the 60 front bumpers run @TRAIL TAILOR ?

hey Trail Tailor do you make a high lift clamp / carrier to go on a roof rack? Thanks.

Front is 995.00 powdered plus shipping with center bullbar. 925.00 without bullbar.

Do they mount directly to the frame, or to the bumper mounts that are riveted to the frame? Both my bumper mounts are tweaked and I've been wanting to find a bumper that mounts directly to the frame (which is still straight).

Remove the OE bumper brackets and it bolts to the frame. 4 bolts per side.

Winch plates are ready to weld into the bumpers.

Nice clean welds. Looks like short circuit/hardwire mig? I've found you can get even better penetration by using C25 with electrode positive flux core. Only issue there is you have to clean slag off the weld bead when you're done. It's the process that gets used whenever running wire feed for structural work.

I was a CWI (cert weld inspector) for 14 years and FCAW was the #1 weld rejection on RT and MT testing. I'll never run it... It runs hotter but is absolutely a filthy weldment.

I use solid wire ER70s3 and C25 for most of my welding. If not SC I'm pulsing with 90/10 and the same wire.

ER70s3 is my go-to for solid wire. I wish my welder had enough power to run spray arc honestly. Hot, fast and furious, but I can lay some gorgeous beads with it. Recently I had to go electrode negative flux core to go fix a friend's tractor in central WA. I would've preferred to use 6010 rod on it but I don't have a buzzbox, just my Millermatic. Interesting that FCAW had such high failure rates. We didn't do RT or MT testing for our certifications, all we did was a visual and bend test. My test plates were flawless for that at least, so now I'm curious to see how they would've fared for RT and MT.
