i agree that looks even better than before!! nice eye for design

Seeing it on the computer screen is one thing but until its on the rig you never know. The bottom rail immediately jumped out saying strong but needs change for aesthetics and function.

Gotta figure out what I can sell to come up with money for this. Been wanting a rack for a while so may put off the EFI setup and go for this first... need to take some measurements for my bike tray though. Mine is a Kuat Trio and is my main transport for my mtb. Dont plan on buying a hitch mount rack for the bike as really it is only mine that is ever on my truck but with my current setup I have LOTS of room to attach to my Yakima crossbars.

Plus J, just gives me a reason to take a trip in BeBe out to see you, hand you the beers I owe you for all the help you have given me in the past, shoot the isht, etc.

Why not dump the thumb screws and use actual nuts. Should save you some space
yeah was planning on that but the bolts are actually pretty long, bottom piece is enclosed as far as I can remember thus I can't swap bolts.

Thread the nut all the way in....
Cut that carrier bolt to size and once you remove the nut it will clean the threads on that freshly cut bolt... you can still use those thumb screw drivers.. just place that nut on the other side and remove it (thumb aid) once it's tight...

looking at Jason's roofrack slotted cross bars... i don't see why this shouldn't work...

I was just thinking the same thing and worst case run a die on the threads to cut them back. I have done this a lot with very good results.

Got all the final changes made in CAD and they are loaded on the table. Just need to get time to run another fairing and one side plate to check look and final fit. I have 420- 1/2" grade 50 pieces to cut in the next 2 days. So the table is tied up currently.

Well yesterday I turned 46 and it was a rough day to say the least. Offloaded 5000# of steel for the new 200 armor, offloaded a steel recycle bin, and the usual day to day hustle.

I was backing up to take a picture of some Rover sliders and tripped on something and the next thing I know is Andrea is looking down at me.. I gather it was at least two hours from our texts and my last email reply. I hit my head and back on the table, bench, floor... IDK what I hit but I now have a bruise the size of a melon on my back. Pissed blood this morning, but my headache is gone so that's a good sign right!.........

So, of course I went to work this morning and business as usual. Got too much to do to take a day off right now.

I'm home now and having a beer and a couple of pain killers. I'll try and get the rack side plate cut tomorrow after the 1/2" parts get cut.

Cheers,

J

Dang man! Thats scary as hell! Thats the only thing that sometimes crosses my mind when I'm working alone. (the only thing!)

Take it easy, sounds like you could have a mild concussion. 46 your just a pup!! :-) Happy belated Birthday!

Take a break. Get healthy. We'll be here. All these old Toyota's and their goofy owners aren't going anywhere.

Health and family first.

Now I feel like a total clown for PM’ing you yesterday man. Rest up, maybe have more than a couple beers

Thanks guys! I'm fine, just shake it off, rub some dirt on it and get back after it again tomorrow.

Peeing blood is bad. Slow down! Nurse here. Your health is much more important. If that’s still happening get checked out ASAP. And take it easy mixing narcs w/ alcohol.

It's almost gone now. 14 bottles of water today. I figure a kidney took a good blow.

Man Jason!
Hope your ok. Slow down a bit. Our bones don't heal as fast.
I took a spill on my motorcycle recently and I still hurt.
Didn't put the kickstand down and came down.
Those kind of blows to the head are not fun.
Hope you heal quick!
