Tent buy is updated.

The extended tents are the only ones remaining and pics of the batwing awning are up for viewing.

All the ladders have been upgraded to the telescopic design at no cost. Everyone can thank the Rover group and my buddy (and his group) in SA for this free upgrade.

S,

Details man? dimensions, material, where to block up? Between the two new machine shops I'm using here... I can pretty much have anything made at a reasonable price. Send me a PM or call me. As always, interested in most things for you guys.

off topic..

It's crazy, everyone says how expensive CA is and what a PITA this state is... I have found everything so far to be quite the opposite. Maybe its just Redding or the fact that I've lived and worked in overly corrupt oil and gas/ mining areas for the past 42 years. Nonetheless, we are happy.

In WY and UT the knuckle tool cost was 32.00 higher from machine shops than what my sell price is now for example. Steel pricing (even with taxes) is about 13% less. Rent... 400% less, I even get a reduced tax rate for fab/mfg materials and equipment here...

rant over.. HA!

Well living in SoCal everything is expensive. 800 sq ft house is no less than $850,000 and that's a fixer upper.
I think it's where you are living.

From that I remember things are very respective to area in CA. Redding has grown quite a bit from what I remember and seems like it is becoming a good place to move to for many reasons. Most people dont like CA specifically because of things like gun restrictions, state income taxes and general high price of items. My dad retired from local government a number of years ago, about 3yrs before my mom passed, and when he was looking to move to NV before buying the cabin in Tahoe we found out that his retirement, regardless of state of residence, would still be required to take out the CA State Income Tax. Don't have the full story but thought that was a bit odd. Because of that he squashed the idea of a permanent move and purchased the cabin.

But like anything else, it is all relative.

I feel the same about So. Cal. Can't even buy ammo anymore without showing your AntiFa membership card.

I walked into a gun shop here and bought ammo. No issues. He mumbled something about limit per customer per .... I walked out and walked back in... bought more. About 4$ more a box than in WY, but they never had any. Surprised they did here. Just basic rifle rounds.

If FedEx knew what was in the center of 3 of those pallets they shipped for me they'd have a heart attack!

Sounds odd. I know people who moved out of state, demonstrated permanent residence and dont have to pay Cali taxes. I'm no accountant but worth looking into.

Ha!!! Nice
That there would be $5Mil. easy!
LOL! 5-8 miles from where I'm at like 8-10 mil. I'm paying 525,000.00 for 910 sqft!! Postage stamp lot!

there really are 2 Californias...one of them should be exiled...

Remember though, he was retiring from local govt. work (worked for San Joaquin County for 28yrs) and receiving the pension/retirement from the state. I am sure there probably is some line in my State of NV PERS retirement that states I will have to do the same. Easy way for the state to continue to receive tax benefits of the state retirement.

J- next time you have to drive through NV just stop at Cabela's or Scheels and stock up on some ammo. No shortages here. Also, I recently purchased from a SoCal ammo company called LAX Ammo and was able to grab 1k of 9mm (their reloads) for $150 to my door with it coming in a metal 50cal tin. Worth a look for their stuff if you are just plinking. Been through a few hundred rounds between my Shield and the wife's LC9s and not a single misfire, jam, etc.

Redding is a retirement area and cheap for sure... What 850,000 could get you here:

Is this the new pad J?

I to am considering retirement in NV. There is talk, that since so many people are leaving Ca. to retire, they are going to try and pass a law that states, if you made the money in Ca. they can tax it no matter what state you retire in. Just another attempt by Ca. government to acquire more funds to misappropriate.
