Tractor tires in the mountains of Guam

There ya go Pat! You didn't need to buy another cruiser, you just needed some trail rims and 12.4-16 bridgestone farm service lug-F tractor tires! Those are some pretty MT Classic II's though, almost too pretty for the mud here brother. Give me a call if you are heading out, because I'd love to tag a along!

Will do

I'm just waiting for the 5.29's and Detroit Lockers in the mail and I will be giving you a call to hit the trails.

Do you have a part time kit, because the detroit in the front with full time 4wd would be a problem on the road if it locks up at speed on a drive axle. Just my two cents.

Finally

It's been a long six months of trial and error and finally I got it where I want it (for now). 37.6" bridgestone ag tires, 16x10 US wheels 2.5" backspacing, 4" slee suspension kit with 6" rear springs and homemade front spring spacer, 5.29 front and rear gearing, aussie front and detriot rear and center diff lock switch off my 91 fj80.

Thanks to Racers Edge and Slee Offroad.

Just curious why 4" front .? and 6" slee rears .?

My plan was that I would deflare and trim the fender well plus a Slee 4" suspension for a daily driver. That all changed when I got a great deal for a 1997 LX450 ($4500) new daily driver and 1991 FJ80 ($500) long term rig. So, I decided to not deflare and trim but, to go a little higher. I made a 3" front coil spacer and welded it to the bumpstop /coil retainer bolted to the chasis, so when the coil is at max compression my 37" tires have very minor rub. I ordered Slee rear 6" coils to even everything out.

Man I miss running those tires. That looks great buddy. I haven't even taken my ride out on the trails here in Colorado yet. I just picked up my cruiser up about 3 weeks ago. I hope to get a Fall trail ride in before Thanksgiving. The black 16x10's steelies look great with the tractors. You need the height to stuff those at 2.5" of backspacing though. Ride on in the 671 brother!

I actually have your 16x10 MT wheels from Monte (Napa) for my daily driving with my 35" MT MTZ's. Sorry that we couldn't go trailing B4 you PCS'd. I bet you'll have a blast out there on the real mountains of COL.

I know this is an old thread, but i'm curious about wheeling in Guam. I will be moving out there in May. I have a 5.5" long arm. Currently running 33's, but could clear 35's and pretty sure that my axles with the chromoly shafts could hand them. I've been told i need 37's if I want to wheel in Guam by a few people. Any feedback? Also brand new to the concept of running tractor tires. Do i need more lift to run tractor tires or would i be ok with the lift i have now? I'm going to keep searching google and forums, but any info would be helpful.
