I know this thread is older. But I’m thinking of rx350 steering wheel. Any thoughts?
If your 80 came with an airbag, you might want to be cautious about replacement options…

Thanks. At this point I’ve swapped to an LS. And have reworked most all of the systems. Not worried about an airbag connection.
From what I've read on the forum, the bigger concern is an airbag that is shaped to inflate inside a vehicle with significantly different dimensions. FWIW.

i did it in mine, you have to glue or spring clip the cover on because it relies on the airbag to attach. my 80 didn't have an airbag.

is the color and exact match?

Are those controls hooked up?
Not yet, I need to find a bluetooth controller I like for the buttons to talk to the head unit.

The wood trim is a different, darker color to the lx450 wood trim, but i do think it can match quite closely with a ceramic or tint wrap on the lx450 trim.

looks nice. I am thinking of going with a newer wheel..a UX F Sport Wheel. My wheel will be black while my interior is similar to yours...I have already added the Delta center console as well she the shifter cover...I haven't decided if I am keeping the LX seats or not yet...so the true match up will not matter to me.

Dibs on those seats.

Craft Customs in Rockwall, Texas can recover the stock wheel.

Someone on MUD has done this swap and I am thinking of doing it as well. This wheel is from a Toyota AE86 Corolla

Now hook those paddles up!
That is the plan. Considering I have a 6.0 with a stage II cam and a 6L90 in. Worst case scenario...I just have a newer steering wheel. Best case is I get the whole thing to work. HoonTV on Youtube got a paddle shifter to work on his 80...so I am determined to make this work too.
