I took a group of botanist types out in the bush to look at carnivorous plants on the island.

Great pictures. I've found some of those plants in bogs up on the ridge between Jordan River and Port Renfrew before. Really neat. Too bad they're logging the s*** out of that area now. I grabbed some firewood from logging scrap last time I was there. 18" tree was over 400 years old. Any chance one of the botanist's name was Guy? (my old neighbor who's really into those plants).
That’s a neat area out there it’s too bad about the logging. Some of those tiny pine trees are ancient. I do know guy or a guy he wasn’t on the trip the one I’m thinking of lives on saltspring now and has a business growing and selling plants.
