Shhh! Ere that? That’s a 60 in its natural habitat.

I took a group of botanist types out in the bush to look at carnivorous plants on the island.

Great pictures. I've found some of those plants in bogs up on the ridge between Jordan River and Port Renfrew before. Really neat. Too bad they're logging the s*** out of that area now. I grabbed some firewood from logging scrap last time I was there. 18" tree was over 400 years old. Any chance one of the botanist's name was Guy? (my old neighbor who's really into those plants).

That’s a neat area out there it’s too bad about the logging. Some of those tiny pine trees are ancient. I do know guy or a guy he wasn’t on the trip the one I’m thinking of lives on saltspring now and has a business growing and selling plants.

Some old swampy pines and cedars from the trip.

Pretty sure it's the same fellow, as he moved to Saltspring and runs a business selling the carnivorous plants now. Was my neighbor for a few years; really nice family.

Wicked pictures; thanks for sharing!

A fun little job with the 45 a couple days ago!!
My neigbour friend has been admiring my 45 for a while and I think I infected him with "the virus". The virus has mutated somewhat though....... he spotted this 1963?? series 2 Land Rover in the bush on the other side of town and bought it. I figured since his Dad ( who came along as well) had brought one just like it from England to New York and drove it to Prince George in the sixties that I could overlook his obvious flaw in choice of vehicles. Apparently it hadn't run in 15 years so I offered to give a hand to go get it. He was concerned about a wet spot in the field we had to cross being soft and getting his 2 wheel drive pick up stuck trying to pull it out so I lent him my trailer to pull behind his truck and offered to take my 45 to pull the Land Rover out for him. Turned out to be a non issue but was still a blast helping him out. We brought it to my place and with a couple hours of crawling over this thing, some wrenching and a few adult beverages we had it running. It needs lots of work but he is super stoked about it.

These are designs by Box Rocket, who has a thread in CHAT - once you realize what he actually does for a living these make sense.
But they are wicked ideas. JimJ - There is a racing PIG for you! I kinda like the last 40 series twisted sister...!
