Exactly!

New vehicles are just appliances dull, not interesting and you feel lucky to get ten years of service out them before wallet crushing repairs are needed. And they will cost because parts are more proprietary and the vehicle’s are harder to work on. Not everyone has the necessary equipment to work on them such as a lift to pull a cab of to replace a dead fuel pump.

I’m assuming Bikersmurf is talking about his Toyota Prius he drives. Probably one of the few more reliable choices out there of the newer vehicles not like the domestic crap they buy me. Though I do also remember him having to replace the entire front end after a fender bender..

Really good it averages 5.8 litres to 100 kilometres on my commute with the trip into town better at 4.6L.

It’s got a little dial I don't like to put it in drive or park it’s also unnerving to put it into drive and nothing happens, no noise, no forward pull, nothing to let you know it’s ready until you push the gas peddle and it quietly rolls forward. I feel I’m going to have an accident, drive it through a store front someday.

Randomly when the gas motor does fire up it sounds crunchy hah! It runs quietly enough but the start up is rough sounding. Oh and I really hate the sun visor! There a large gap between it and the A pillar that the sun always seems to find.

Check out the trim styling around the side vents looks broken or melted from new.

I guess a 40,000$ vehicle is an inexpensive vehicle these days and it sort of feels like that. Not bad to drive but doesn’t feel of quality or that it will last.

Well not mine but one of the other brand new ford mavericks that was being delivered hadn’t even gotten issued yet is already heading back to the dealer because its hybrid system is not charging.

I’m temporarily broke down… but feel my 52 year old 40 is going to be more reliable by this afternoon.

First time in 35 years it didn’t deliver me to my destination. It’ll be hard to break that record again.

One of these is not like the others.

Hi Jim. I have a JDM right seat (RHD driver) that I will let go cheap. Works on LHD driver, but needs an adapter to fit mounting holes on body as its rails are a bit wider. The RHS bolster is soft, fabric is good, blue-grey color as I recall.

So have the cops finally given up targeting anyone NOT a jeep for driving without doors? I saw a nice old 40 yesterday in Nanaimo
at Home Hardware without doors too. Would be comforting to be able to drive freely.
BTW. I like the wheels and hubcaps on that, classic cool!

No idea.

All these rules are a bit absurd when motorcycles exist.

Wear your seatbelt at all times, but if it's a motorbike and you're passenger? Oh, just make sure you hang on.



Only time I've been hassled by rcmp about no doors was a motorcycle cop.

Telling me "my legs could come out and get pinched off" and he's standing there in his ****ing jodpurs.
