Man I have always liked fj55 trucks, had one for a few years. Think you right on that call being a 80 series chasis keeping with the narrow wheels really keeps the tires inside the wells.

Looking at the first pic makes me wonder if that truck is on an 80 series frame. I see coils and no selectable hubs. Neat build in any case....
Not to mention the stance, it's got no wheel dish, yet is flush with the fenders. Definitely not old 55 under there either

The dogs were acting squirrelly tonight. Went into the back yard and tossed one of their toys. Heard a flutter and spotted this up on the roof. The facia board is 6” high, making this bird about 1’ tall. When it flew away I’d estimate the wing span to be a couple feet +/- given it was about 12:30 am and quite dark I can’t say for sure.

Any birders amongst us?

Big old owl I think.

Barn or screech, or barred maybe? I'm no expert 😂

This site is kinda cool for identifying, although they make so many different sounds it's not easy.

Used to live in front of a cliff face that was full of owls. Ground was knee deep in rodent skeletons and pellets.

Lots of owls here too, a rabbit had a bad night yesterday. All that's left is fur and two sections of intestine in a pile on the lawn.
I'm not sure what predator would be so meticulous. Maybe an owl or an eagle?
A cougar would carry it somewhere more private to eat I'd have thought?

Cool! I live on Swan Lake, and we see/hear a lot of owls here. Likely a Barred Owl; but hard to tell for sure. Apparently their population has really taken off.

What Nick did this weekend!

Haha! I think that monstrosity is the last thing I'd want to be seen wheeling with, lol! Although I have to give the owner credit for trying to take it off road. Looks high centered and the 78 is trying pull it?

Neighbour said he thought they had barred owls.

I thought he'd said "bard" so I asked if it's call sounded like " forsooth "

Just got a blank stare. sigh.

As you can see, Russian licence plate. Apparently the partiers convinced the driver to go ‘off roading’ in a stretch Limo. The other pics were pretty hilarious but that pic is real as it’s being pulled out.

I heard it make a screech as is flew… or perhaps it was a cry.

On another note…

Someone mentioned mushrooms the other day. I usually pull and toss these to protect the dogs. Any idea on type(s)?

There here for the taking if anyone wants them.

Or something created by a 40 fan?
