I have been reading all the articles I can find about swapping in an older(86.5-92) Supra LSD into a V6 Rear housing etc...
All the articles I find seem to re-use the 4.88's. Is it because that's what the Supra comes with, or that's what their 3rd's had in them already? not sure. I am wondering if this same swap can be done with any gears? I am getting a couple of V6 rears with 4.56 gears and was hoping that I could still just swap in the LSD and be done. They make mention to re-using the "thinner" 4.88 gears, is this the reason the use them or just because 4.88's are lower and what they wanted? I'm pretty sure this is a go, but any input would be appreciated.
