here is the site....is this at Iruma City Hall?

cool pics :)

4WD SHOP ???????

The Iruma City Museum puts on a yearly vintage vehicle exhibit.
it is arranged by my friend Yuichi Ishikawa who used to publish CCV magazine.
he collects vehicles from all of his crazy friends and I think they are on
display for about 1 week. Mr. Yasui owns the green BJ you see in the photos.
Mr. Yasui restored that BJ and it has been in several magazines an TV productions. He also restored the BJ Firetruck shown early in the thread that now is in the Toyota Museum if I am not mistaken.

Tiger auto also displays vehicles. I think the Land Rover belongs to Mr. Ishikawa.

Here are a few pics you may or may not have seen.

i came across this thread, and realised i could contribute :D
i bought a landcruiser newspaper advertisement from ebay the other week.

advertised Aug 2, 1958

I have it framed and sitting on a shelf. I also have another coming, but it's a '67 advert from a farming paper, showing the early FJ's

Cool lit! Although it is a 25, not the earlier BJ Jeep (I'll take either :)!) Jim, the mod may move this accordingly, but real cool thanks for contributing!

two more pics

the bottom picture is listed as an ak10 frame... however... i do believe it is really a BJ Jeep frame... since it is from 1950 toyota's Engineering Department, Design Section... it would be from before the BJ went into production... note the rear bumperettes and use of front bumper and full front leafs... but who knows :meh:
