Indeed, mine will bust loose and sqwak pretty good around a corner if I walk on it. I'm quite pleased, so far. Once I get the aluminum rad and the 2LT pump/injectors in, I'll figure I'm about done under the hood.
How's about some more pics in action?

Search around here and at ToyotaDiesel.com , I seem to remember a remedy for a stuck ring but i just can't quite remember what it was. It might be just run the snot out of it...

Nothing crazy, but a few pics of a recent wheeling trip with a couple friends

It was a little better last trail run, still smoking though, I am stumped?, Does your 3L have any Blowby?, I took the oil cap off the other day while it was running, there was pressure coming out the oil fill hole(not terrible, but definately evident), and it was spitting/misting oil onto my hand, but the compression is great??, check yours sometime, and let me know if yours is doing the same thing, if you can with the intercooler there:), I am going to take it out again this weekend for a bit.

Yeah, I do get a fair bit of blow-by, and I'm sure the turbo compounds that, that is usually the norm. But no symptoms like you describe. Runs great, no misses, lots of power, sarts right up without any glow plugs, consumes minimal amounts of oil.

Just got the new aluminum rad in today, burpin' the bubbles right now. :)

Took it out this last weekend, not 1 hiccup, no smoke, or sputter, must have been a stuck ring, or valve? guess the injector cleaner / rislone did the trick!, had a good time up at a trail in Fort Collins, CO called Kelly Flats, a couple pics for your enjoyment:)

Yeah it must be an early/late model thing, because my 3L flywheel wouldnt accept a 22re clutch(I had one from my 85 runner that had like 200 miles on it, and was hoping to save a few bucks using it), none of the dowels would line up...the 22re clutch was essentially about 1/4" in diameter smaller than the flywheel was set up for..aka 22RE vs. 3VZE
