Towing a inflatable kayak

Anyone here ever attempt to tow a inflatable Kayak but most importantly, tow the bike behind a Kayak? I think that would be a great way to get around without having to go back to the bike.

Did you build the float that towed the bike around? Did it double as a cart for the deflated kayak?

I built a trailer/dollie for a 16' FG canoe that I was able to tow with a bicycle... and the bicycle and trailer would fit inside the canoe.

Weight vs size of inflatable kayak

It sounds like a trade off - do you get a big and sturdy inflatable kayak that will hold the bike, but be heavy to carry on the bike, or do you get a lightweight inflatable kayak that will be light to ride with, but then may not have room or weight capacity for the bike?

I just modified a kid trailer to haul my IK to the pond/whitewater park near my house.

Not sure I could self-shuttle, haul the trailer, bike and dog down the river; though I may give it a shot on a short section of flat-water.

The extended tongue is pinned and removable, so I can shorten it back to 'stock' length. It pulls easily, my son and daughter both pedaled it around the block.
