I built mine OEM! Its complicated but worth it. I went stainless for longevity. Dimensions converted to American standard. Yes or No? You tell me![]()
I have an OEM sill that is providing all the details other than the dimension mentioned as when I cut the sill out I wanted to save the rear floor so I cut the sill short. I wanted to ensure the sill was accurate so was looking for this dimension. All other dimensions and construction are off the actual sill.
Not sure exactly what you are saying! I'll look for drawings tommorw. It was a perfect fit as I brought the factory piece of the 78 into work to build itYou built it with the offset on the back and V shapes channels in the lower half.
FYI: An engineer / 40 buddy is creating CAD drawings / 3D scans for TP to correct issues (i'm helping him). Tubs (1/2, 3/4, full) should be nearly perfect when process is completed; they will need to adjust tooling for A,B,C variants -- it's all going to take time.
TP management knows their pre 79 tubs are being avoided like the plague by -- word has been out sometime. Corrections are being served on a silver platter (cad files, scans etc) if they don't take advantage of our help / product knowledge -- they are destined to fail!Maybe he can help point out the glaringly obvious issues with their 73-78 FJ45 cab? I’ve only tried till I’m blue in the face and they’ve been completely un-receptive to obvious issues.
