Also never seen that kit, I like the integrated trans cooler solution. @BCR4619 you should check this out. I wonder if it would play nice with the OEM front winch? Are there any pics of this kit installed?

Reading the info on their news page it looks as though they started up around October but have been working alongside Gturbo for a while. Good to see new products available.
I did notice their cast ally intake adapter is available on eBay, still the same price as all the others available.

You'd get all the major parts in that hpd kit from eBay for half the $$$.
If you're selective, there's decent parts available.
I'd be looking for 600x300x75 core.
T-bolt clamps, not worm screw type.
You'd have to make brackets, and you wouldn't get the manifold adapter.
Personally I don't like the abrupt 90 bend of the hpd adapter, not ideal for optimal airflow

My unique problem is that I live in a camper trailer, so fabrication is out of the picture. As much as the HPD s1 is overpriced and doesn't have an ideal sized core it is 'bolt in' which is of benefit to me. And by the look of the pipe routing I could always upgrade the core later on if desired.

I'm sure it's a helluva lot better than no cooler :D if your traveling then yeah, I can see the appeal of a bolt in kit.

So pulling the coquihalla all loaded up with my travel trailer in the summer just might test any coolant system. 11000lbs when I scaled in just before hope. I guess my point is the FMIC didn't have a negative affect on my cooling. Before installing it I was very against a front mount.

so, sorry to thread resurrect, but I just laughed out loud 'cause I literally just killed my truck trying to do exactly this the other day (but with no load). Truck had cooling issues but I didn't have time to fix them. Things were going well until the coquihalla just past hope. Made it to the summit and then the thing stalled and wouldn't start. Had to get it towed to Hope. Turns out the heat melted one of the fuel injectors. I just hitchhiked out there yesterday with a new fuel injector assy to drive it back to Van.

Sorry to hear that. How did your injector "melt"?never really heard of that before. Pics might help.
This was on my Isuzu Trooper with a Chevy S10 engine. The heat from the climb melted some of the insulation on wiring to the pigtail that plugs onto the pins on the top of the fuel injector and caused a short, which must've made a spark and melted the plastic plug to the injector, which somehow forced the valve to be stuck open, dumping gas into the engine, until it flooded and stalled.
