I originally posted this in the Copper State Cruisers forum as I live in AZ. I found the FJ55 IPPS afterward. I would appreciate the thoughts and opinions of this group as I am learning these things are not as easy to fix-up as I had thought...
I was cruising the side-streets in Phoenix one day when POW, I ran across this jem...
I stopped and rang the door, sure that no-one would answer. To my surprise, a woman came to the door and started chatting with me about her FJ55. Said she bought it 10 years ago in TX, and would consider selling it to me if she decides to sell. Said she would get back to me in about a week...
Now the big question is... Am I ready to go hog-wild? The truck looks 100% original. No body rust that I could see at all. It needs to have the interior freshened up, and a coat of paint (someday) but it is a very honest, original piggy.
Price hasn't been discussed. Any thoughts on what she is worth?
When I go back, what should I pay special attention to? Where to look, what area's/items should I be most concerned about?
