From Nick Stone:

Okay... you opened this thread so no dirty words until the end.

TLCA has been rolling in the mud for two years and it's time to send some folks home. I respectfully ask y'all to support me as Administrative VP, Perry Lowery as Central & Mountain IR, and Justin Ward for President. Casey Campbell also deserves support as Treasurer. With 3 Lone Star/TTR/WToE members in office, I can guarantee TLCA will focus on the Chapters and not petty politics.

The election will be Thursday, December 16 at 8pm.

Are we a chapter in good standing?

I would love to see TLCA survive. It wont if the current stuff keeps happening IMO

We will be voting right!

Copied from the TLCA Elections thread

"Ken Romer asked for some info to take back to his club."

My name is Jeff Murrah. I print the shirts and sing the songs. HOT DAMN!!!!!

with the dues you pay, you have a say!

:D

I think I have more in common with the Jafrica city council than the current TLCA BOD. I hope voting goes well.

Is anyone running on the platform to make TLCA the premier beer drinking (and fire-starting) club in America instead of an anal retentive, brake light-checking regime? I might rejoin TLCA if that happens and can become an official member of Cottonland.

Damn......all over a car club! When me & Kowboy got drunk and started the White Trash, we agreed when it aint fun no more, we'd quit, sure dont look like a couple of them fellas are havin fun no more to me......just my obsevation:beer: Now I'll shut up and not comment on silly-assed, childish, pissin match politics anymore:grinpimp:

"Wake up Greg! This sh*t is serious!

The TLCA Prez is airing it out. :D

I agree it is serious for a few folks. I'm 110% behind Jeff Murrah, Nick Stone, Justin Ward, Perry Lowery, Casey Campbell and other friends of mine that are working to turn it around. Especially since when I met those dudes they were nice to me. Current leadership... not so much.

Cruisers are still fun for me, after almost 10 years. I'm hoping that TLCA becomes part of that for me again. I'm glad someone cares enough to try to make that happen, and they have my full support.

One last note: I helped start CLC and have been part of leadership since the beginning. We have been almost completly drama free for the duration. I believe that is largely because when we have something to work out, we do it over a meal and beers.

I recommend the TLCA BOD use club funds to get together face-to-face twice a year to run the club. Flush those damn conference calls.

Holy crap! I'm snickering in my office and about to crack. If i do, gravy will come out.

I'm not a fan.
Not sure what it would take to become one at this point. TLCA isn't fun and who wants to be part of something "not fun"? And don't say it's necessary... cause it ain't that either. it seems to exist so a handful of folks can get their rocks off on each other. That didn't start recently either. I quit paying my dues because i had no idea where they were going, and have no idea about TLCA "stuff" enough to warrant sending money. Hel
There are events without TLCA, LC clubs exist without TLCA's holy water placed on the clubs bezel.
People buy their first cruiser, join TLCA, then what? they stop paying their annual dues... why? Cause it's not fun. And there's nothing in it for the individual...
Bodean's ideas seem like the cat's nuts! And he's right... Where was TLCA's prescense in the SouthEast's biggest Crusier event? A friggin' banner?! YOU ARE SO DUMB, FOR REAL.

TLCA needs:
badass apparel
badass events (not individual club events... and not only in Cali)
badass WRENCHING parties
badass folks leading by example and getting out there and wheeling or wrenching or spit shining and showing off the rides....
badass swap meets
Show up at even non-yota events and spread the word that TLCA is awesome and have reasons of why... (the above)

Who gets excited about a city Board meeting?
Who gets excited about a city Christmas Parade?

The board meeting is necessary.... but so is the parade....
Her come Santa Claus!

yeah!
Have two HUGE blow-out events! and then the BOD can take an afternoon out and meet there!

You ain't gotta bring a truck to an event... just bring your party pants! The trail is fun... but hanging with friends is funner!
