On my 99 that bracket is totally clear of the bumper
Thanks. On my 06 LX the top of the bumper clips into that bracket. Can’t find the name or part number for it though so don’t know how it figures into a new bumper install.

Another basic question (and probably in the wrong thread) but I assume the metal bracket under the grill and below the headlights stays on with a TJM install? Is that the metal than needs to be trimmed? My bracket got mangled in a fender bender and if it needs to stay I’m debating whether to bend back in place or source a new one. Looks like this is how the trim filler panels below/around the headlights stay in.

Nope that stays. You only trim under the headlights. Pretty much just the section inside the red.

Thanks again. Really appreciate the feedback. Does anyone know the part name or number for this bracket? I can’t seem to find it in parts diagrams, and given wha mine looks like it likely needs to be replaced.

is trimming required on a 2004 LC? why/what are people trimming for the install?
AND where do you get a skid plate to accompany the bumper?

I just bought some lights that fit the holes, and connected to the fog light switch. The lights that came with the bumper, I connected to the marker/blinker.

Which brand lights and size are those in the middle? I purchased some but that are slightly too big for the openings. Did you have to modify the bumper any for the install? Sent you a message regarding them.

Old topic, but circling back to the original question, i used on Baja Design S2 Sport / Wide / amber / Flush mount fogs in the TJM lower holes and adjusted them so i can drive with them on, without blinding anyone.

I did have to trim a little bit on the rounded corners of the TJM holes, but not much, and wired to factory fog light power. Also used small stainless washers to help aim them properly. Functionally they work great as fog lights.

I have the t17 , just received, and was going to do the install. Did you have to cut the body to complete the installation?
No cutting necessary-very straightforward install you can complete with 1 person. 2 people is definitely easier. I'd recommend taping your fenders or anything that you can accidentally bump the edges of the TJM on during install, you'll be glad you did!

Thanks. Good tip. Starting on Monday.
