I was checking out the famous Sema 200 rig, and its pretty obvious that the 100 series TJM rear bumper is installed on it (Just by checking on the brochure for the 100 series on TJM's site)......IMHO I think that bumper is pretty sick, and beats the ARB and Kaymar 200 bumpers hands down. Its agressive (in matt black finish), and its got the best departure angle out of the ARB and Kaymar.

Would anyone know if that would fit on the 200? Even with a bit of modification/cutting/welding to the mounting areas, what would be the major stumbling blocks in making this work?

All ideas are welcome:D

I asked TJM about it about a year ago when this photo surfaced. It is definitely a 100 bar held on with bits of wood etc. The top part is balsa. The vehicle as modified was apparently never capable of being driven on the road.

Hey boobok, does the rear bar hamper that 200's ability to be driven down the road? Or is that more to do with the larger tires and non-existent clearence in the wheel wells?

I am willing to give it a shot with the 100 bar, as a few of my welder mates are telling me "anything can be done"....is it worth it?

Boozews, I think it is all of the above. The guy told me that the wheels were too big and would hit on the slightest bump. The rear bar was fixed on with brackets etc from memory. It was only rigged up for the show. I just think it was never intended to do more than be on a show stand. TJM haven't released a rear bar yet.

If it is departure angle you are after, the Kaymar is level with the chassis so you won't get better than that.

There is another "tough" looking alternative K&N in Perth Australia, they look a bit agricultural IMHO but similar to the one at SEMA

In all likelyhood Boozewz, TJM will not release a rear bumper given how well the kaymar product is selling and the complexity of install with cutting the rear bumper etc.

Jesus, that is almost identical to my TJM RB8 Rear Bumper on my 100, though mine is rusting up like hell.

I like TJM. Happy with most of their products, and prices.

They have pulled out of NA, so I'm not sure how you'd get one these days.

Coupla TJM Pix...

Man, they are similar...

macneil...do you get busted for having the license in the back hidden by the spare? Would seem like a heatscore from the cops that way.

When I talked with the builders of the SEMA 200, they did mention that the rear bumper was a modified 100 series TJM.

In AZ you would in a heartbeat. With all the fxxxing (excuse my spanish) photo cameras we have, they love to give tickets for that. Last month TPD issued over 1,000 tickets just for bike racks folded up

Even the PDs are starving for money...
