My personal choice was 2.5" Old Man Emu, fits 35" (they rub a bit) I didn’t change anything else. I removed rear sway bar to gain articulation, but it was not required.

Cat Head choice was 6” Slee Off Road, fits 37”, he cut body a bit, both sway bars removed, pinion and ring, is one the best option out there, includes everything you’ll need. In fact, we bought and ship another kit to a friend in Venezuela. He replaced shocks for Bilsteins.

Rusty’s is basically the same as Cat Head, just with custom control arm, he used ball joint instead of bushing for radical articulation. The highway driving is not a friendly as Cat Head’s.

Ohan’s choose TJM 7”, the reason of this post. In my opinion, the kit is not as complete as the Sleed one. In other to compare apples to apples, you need to add to TJM drive shaft and upper control arms at least. Anyways, here are the first steps on that truck:

 
Nice video, looks like you guys have a great shop. Also good to see someone else running the 7" springs.

I'm running the 7" TJM coils on my 80. I'll be curious if your rig is driveable with only bushings for caster correction. I know mine was pretty scary, and I ended up adjusting the caster by 14° to get it back to stock (via a radius arm flip). Also had to do a part-time 4wd conversion so that the front driveshaft wouldn't spin all the time.
After that, it drives surprisingly well.

What I don't get it's why TJM sells caster bushings as part of the 7" lift kit .. they sure know that's not enough caster correction possible from caster bushings.. not even from caster plates ..
 
For all that caster correction, I would go with the high steer knuckles and do a cut and turn. I think youd have to probably modify the panhard but the gains relating to driveline angle and trac bar angle would be worth the extra costs. Mind you if I was going to do a C&T Id also consider a 9.5" front diff.

With the airbags I can drive it on pavement lower than I off road it, and require less caster adjustment while having a slightly lower C of G, and its easier getting in and out for daily driving. Though there are cons to them as well.
 
I don't see the lower valance on either of the 80's in the above pictures? Is it because of the angle the picture was taken at or were the lower valances removed for higher clearance?

I want to see the video of where the 7" goes that the 3.5 cant

FWIW if you put 40" tires on both vehicles, you can imagine how the lack of 3.5" of uptravel would hinder wheeling ability in that particular scenario.
 
Their bumpers look sick but no pics or anything on the website..
 
I only have 4.5 inch lift and I ended up getting rid of the caster correction poly bushings. The truck was riding scary, They only lasted little over one year, I think is because of the offset. One side being thin, makes them weak. Got rid of them, installed the Man-A-Fre correction brackets with OEM bushings and problem solved. Truck runs normal now
