Gaijin needs his own sticky PSI Ninja thread... :poof:

read through this thread and didn't see these listed yet.

285/55 R20 BFG KO2s, Load range D on a 2015 LC.

Might as well ask about 285/60 R20 KO2s, load range E

Thank you!

I think you got these backwards. I have 285/55/20 and you quoted 43 psi front and rear.

The recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the LT285/55R20 117/114T D BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires on your 2015 LX570 is 43psi. Required Load Limit for these tires is 2,105 lbs. 42psi yields 2,100 lbs which is just shy of the requirement, so my safe recommendation is 43psi which yields 2,135 lbs.

Master, how about for Nitto Terra Grappler G2 LT275/55R20 117T?

The pressure I quoted you is CORRECT for your LX570.

The pressure I quoted @pribilof is CORRECT for his LC200.

I have mentioned many times that the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressures are DIFFERENT for LC200 vehicles and LX570 vehicles. Why? You'll have to ask Mr. Toyota.

Master, how about for Nitto Terra Grappler G2 LT275/55R20 117T?

I assume these are being used on a 200 series Land Cruiser - not an LX570 - right?

Nitto does not make a Terra Grappler G2 tire in size LT275/55R20. You might want to check the sidewall branding on your tire again.

Nitto does make a Terra Grappler G2 (NOT LT-metric) in size 275/55R20 117T XL Stock#215220. For that tire, the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for use on a 200 series Land Cruiser is 36psi F/R.

IMPORTANT: Please check carefully what is branded on the sidewall of your tires! If you do not find "XL" or "REINFORCED" on your tire sidewall, then your tires may be unsafe. Also, please assure that you find something like "Max Load 2833 lbs @ 50 psi" on the sidewall.

Now that's weird? Same platform using the same size wheels and tire's and the LX570 even weighs more then the 200 series LC but the LC needs 4 more psi per tire? Any Idea why that would be?

Thank you for the info! You are right, the tires are not LT-metric. I did see "tubeless extra load" plus the max load on the sidewall

Sensei,

This is a bit off-topic, but could you give the recommended tire pressure for an 80 series on Cooper Discoverer STT LT285/75R16 load range D?

I've been running 35 psi but recently switched to 32 psi because the ride was much more comfortable. After reading all the info here about LT-metric tires requiring higher cold tire inflation pressures, I fear that I may have been underinflated all along. I've already had one of these Coopers blowout on the highway once (sidewall blew) and now I'm thinking it might have been due to the tire pressure?
