OK, "seems" like it's an opportune moment to highlight how important accurate descriptions of tire size/construction (P-Metric, ISO-Metric, LT-Metric) and application (i.e. LC200 or LX570) are to determining correct RCTIP (Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure).

Let's focus on a common tire dimension and see how construction and application affect RCTIP:

P-Metric P285/70R17 - LC200 = 27psi / LX570 = 26psi
LT-Metric LT285/70R17 - LC200 = 40psi / LX570 = 35psi
ISO-Metric 285/70R17 117T SL - LC200 = 32psi / LX570 = 29psi

So... if the only info I get is something like, "what's the pressure for 285/70R17?" I really don't know what to suggest - could be anything from 26psi - 40psi.

If you want a RCTIP for a P-Metric tire, please include the "P" in the tire description.
If you want a RCTIP for a LT-Metric tire, please include the "LT" in the tire description.
If you want a RCTIP for an ISO-Metric tire, please include the Load Index (e.g. 117) and whether the tire is Standard Load (SL) or Extra Load (XL or Reinforced).

Also, it is important to know whether you are using the tires on a LC200 or LX570.

I don't mind helping out with RCTIP recommendations, but please, give me the info I need to get you the correct answer.

I said lc200 and indicated p metric all in my first post in this thread with no edits. I merely gave an opinion on it seeming low, maybe I should have phrased it differently or whatever, good grief. Thanks.

That particular post was for general info - not directed at you personally. Sorry if you took it that way, that certainly was not my intention.

My earlier post, however, was in answer to your comment about my RCTIP seeming low:

Well... I find science trumps feelings every time.

On your LC200, the stock P285/60R18 tires at the factory RCTIP 33psi have a Load Limit of 2512 lbs.

On your LC200, the P285/70R17 Wildpeak A/T3W tires at my RCTIP 27psi have a Load Limit of 2527 lbs.

Seems perfect to me 👍

Ah it’s cool. I wish I knew how you did this formula and read the thread and the PDF but still don’t seem to get it. The hot dogs at discount tire had them at 38psi and one was at 45. I put all of
Them at 35 and have been lowering them gradually since and I’m at 30 now trying to do that cold temp test someone talked about. So interesting how impactful this is on ride quality and everything else

@gaijin can you help with with a RCTIP for my 2007 Sequoia? P265/70R17 Wildpeak A/T3W tires. I am running them at 38psi.

Thank you!

Sorry, I only help with LC200/LX570; but you can find all the info you need here: Application of Load/Inflation tables

Here's a free hint: Falken does not make a P-Metric P265/70R17 Wildpeak A/T3W tire. They do, however have a Standard Load ISO-Metric 265/70R17 115T tire (their Item# 28034300) so be sure you use the correct Load/Inflation table on page 28 of the link I provided above ;)

I bet this was asked before, but if it wasn't what is the recommended cold tire pressure for BFG KO2 285/65R18 for 2010 LX 570?

I was told 37psi.

Whether @LXCruza has P metric, LT, etc. tires that pressure recommendation could change. Basically, more info is needed from LXCruza before a good recommendation can be given.

LT. 285/65R18 BFG OWL 4S HI All-Terrain T/A KO2 10Ply

The RCTIP for LT285/65R18/E 125/122R BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires on your 2010 LX570 is 37psi F/R.

But, please check your tires. The size I have given a pressure for here is the ONLY LT285/65R18 tire BFG makes. It is their Part Number 16168 and is a Raised White Letter tire - NOT the Outlined White Letter tire you stated.
