2000 Land Cruiser built in December 1999 with 183,000 miles. First time doing the timing belt. Here are a few photos. Replaced with OEM Mitsuboshi belt. Looks like the rubber has dried out a bit however after more than 22 and a half years I suppose that's to be expected. Truck operates in a hot and humid sub-tropical climate year round.

How's the condition of the water pump?

Looks like a pretty new belt. Even the few newer belts I’ve seen have those slight cracks. Your experience is the norm and my experience on all of my copies.

Nice work, it looks good to me and not surprised to see it's condition.

I changed mine around 150K miles. I accidentally tossed it on the ground next to the new one along with a number of other misc parts. When I returned from answering a telephone call it took me a few minutes to identify which one was the new one. After closely examining them I found a small chunk out of one and determined that must be the old one so I continued the mission.

I kept the old one to use as a strap wrench cuz I'm a cheap bastid.
