Well S@$t!! Thought I was getting shot at again for second.

Worst part is I just finished painting and reinstalling the hard top/windshield frame. Does anyone have a good source to get a new windshield from? (and rubber) Also thinking about just replacing the whole thing frame and all (Non-fiberglass if possible)

BJ74 windshields are one of the only parts I get exclusively from my local dealer (Stampede Toyota in Calgary). They inventory a small number in the Ontario, California warehouse, and if you wait, show up at the dealership with no extra shipping costs, and any risk of damage during transportation is with the dealer.
The trick is to go into your local dealer with a part number! 56111-90K08 or 56111-60230 for the windshield, and 56121-90K03 or 56121-90K01 or 56121-60120 for the gasket (Note, the exact gasket that takes the original chromey inserts is not available, you have to get an all rubber gasket)

The other option is to purchase from Partsouq.com. I've never had glass shipped from them, but they do use fedex so perhaps there's a good amount of possibility of making a claim if it arrives broken. It's definable faster, easier, and probably cheaper than your local dealer.... right up until the glass arrives broken.... then it's more expensive and slower.

I was able to source an HJ75 troopy windshield through my local Toyota dealer. I believe it is different from the BJ74 fold down windshield though.

Yes , fixed windscreens are different to fold down windscreens.

consider using sealant as well . otherwise you risk rain drops on your legs...fsm recomends a certain one.

I went with a 3m one and , so far, ok.

Anyone in Southern California know anyone at the dealerships here that has a clue how to deal with non US-spec vehicles. Because so far I’ve had no luck at all.

Do you have the part numbers?

The information is above from @Behemoth60

You have the numbers. Any button-pusher at any Toyota dealership should be able to get the parts for you with no issues.

Yep. I can see that the part numbers are above. Unfortunately they must just not be very good button pushers here. Called three San Diego area dealerships and couldn’t get anything close to help....with the part Numbers

My insurance is replacing my windshield and I think they’re going to use Toyota mile of cars in SD. I haven’t had any problems getting parts from my truck through them.

Do me a favor if you can and keep me updated. I’m actually at Toyota mile of cars way and they aren’t any help either. Telling me a month shipped from Japan. Looks like I am gonna have it shipped from Toyotapartsdeal.com it’s still pretty cheap with shipping.

If anyone knows a parts guy in San Diego or nearby that has a clue please let me know
