Well Im the broker for the bumpers... You have to go through me... HAHA jk.... :p

Maybe we can sell our front bumpers once we build them :)

Here is the finished "base" bumper installed. Once I am in the mood I will start on the swing outs'

Very nice.

Thanks for doing this thread, I look forward to the ones on the bullbar and sliders that your Cruiser so desperately needs:flipoff2:

What was the additional cost of getting the side hoops bent? Did you do them yourself or get them fabbed?

Cheers

The steel (1.5" 11ga) was $46 for 20', I have a bender at work so that was free. I will also be using the 1.5" tube on the sliders and front bumper.

Spindle holes

What did you use to make the holes for the spindles? Just a regular metal holesaw?

Yes sir....and it will never be used again...I think I broke every tooth off of that sucker lol

any updates? i have been watching this build, ready to tackle my own rear bumper. is it just me or did all the pics disappear? i was hoping to see some finished pictures. looking good, at least it did last time i saw it.

Are the photobucket links showing for anyone else?

Waiting for the patent?

i knew it was too good to be true. i should have printed out those angles and measurements earlier. :censor: it gave me some good ideas, but i still have some back up ideas for my bumper. but this looked pretty user friendly for sure.

Looks like I am going to be back into Cruisers:D well LX450.. picking it up Monday after work so get ready for DIY rear bumper V1.2. Then maybe a front bumper also. I am going to build the rear a little more low profile this time and will document the build for everyone. Will be just as simple as the first one.

I can't wait either!! Are you going to get right to it? I am up in the air right now on a rear bump. I really liked your first bumper for a simple build that looked great. I just can't bring myself to spend $1300-$2000 for the rear....Not saying they are not worth it because its a lot of labor. My labor is free.
